How we collect, use and protect your information when you visit our site.
1. Information We Collect
When you contact us, enter the recipe contest or sign up for emails, we collect what you give us, such as your name, email address, city and state, and your recipe and photo. When you shop, our store collects what’s needed to process and ship your order, such as your name, shipping and billing address, phone number and payment details. We never see or store your full card number. We also collect basic visit information, like pages viewed, device type and approximate location, as described under Cookies.
2. How We Use It
We use your information to answer your messages, run the recipe contest and contact winners, process and ship orders, send emails you’ve signed up for, and improve our site and products. If your recipe wins, we may publish it with your photo, first name, last initial and town, as the Contest Rules explain. We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with companies that help us run the business, such as our store platform (Shopify), shipping carriers, website host and analytics tools, or when the law requires it.
3. Emails and Newsletters
We only send recipes, new products and specials if you sign up. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you through the Contact page. Order and shipping emails are part of your purchase and are sent either way.
4. Cookies
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people use, including roughly where visitors are (country, state and city, based on their internet connection). We use Microsoft Clarity to see how people move around a page, such as where they click and scroll, so we can fix confusing spots. Clarity hides what you type into forms. Both use cookies. We don’t use them for advertising, and we don’t sell your information. The same tools run on our online store.
5. Our Online Store
Our online store runs on Shopify. When you check out, your information is also handled under Shopify’s privacy policy. Payments are processed securely by Shopify and its payment partners.
6. Your Choices
You can opt out of analytics at any time with the Privacy Choices link at the bottom of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as an opt-out automatically. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you through the Contact page.
7. Terms of Use
Everything on this site, including our name, logo, photos, recipes and text, belongs to Monroe or is used with permission. You’re welcome to share our recipes for personal, non-commercial use with credit to Monroe. Products and availability can change without notice, and we may cancel an order and refund you if a product is unavailable or was listed in error. The site is provided as is, and to the fullest extent the law allows, Monroe isn’t liable for indirect or incidental damages from using it.
