Our Story

It started with sausage biscuits tossed from a parade float. Here’s how a hometown favorite became a family tradition.

As Rich in History
as It Is in Flavor

For generations, Monroe has been the sausage on the table at family gatherings, Sunday breakfasts and backyard cookouts. The recipe hasn’t changed much, and that’s the point.

Biscuits From the Float

The original company became a hometown name the fun way: by tossing sausage biscuits to the crowd from its float during the annual hog festival parade. Folks never forgot the taste.

Worth the Drive

When new partners took over, they set out to make the best sausage anyone had ever tasted. They spent months working on the recipe and testing spices. Word is they even drove all the way to Atlanta to get the seasonings just right.

A Cookout Staple

People loved it. You could hardly find a family gathering or cookout without Monroe on the grill. Kids grew up on it, and as word spread, anyone passing through was asked to bring back a few packs for friends and family.
